This presentation provide employers with the military breakdown of military transitioning members, spouses and Veterans structure and what they have to offer to the employment talent pool. Our speaker will also provide insight on the programs provided to soldiers and employers to assist in hiring the Military Service member, Veteran or spouse. He will cover the following learning objectives:

· Military to Civilian Transition language and hierarchy breakdown
· Career Skills Program/Employers

Presented by Mr. Jeffrey Hanks, who currently serves as the Military Personnel Division Chief and TAP Transition Assistance Program Coordinator at the U.S. Army War College.

Mr. Hanks has been employed as the Military Personnel Division Chief with the Carlisle Barracks Garrison and US Army War College since September 2005, assisting Military Personnel, transitioning service members and their spouses with Career Services during their time in service. He is a native of Johnston City, Illinois and holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Organizational Development and Leadership from Shippensburg University. He is also a graduate of Central Penn College with a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology and Business Administration. Mr. Hanks is a Certified National Workforce Development Professional, Certified Federal Resume Job Search Trainer and Counselor, Trained Facilitator and Instructor.
Mr. Hanks is also a retired veteran with 22 years of experience in Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources and Career Services during his military and civilian career. He conducts a variety of transition workshops and career workshops for the military, spouses, youth, veterans and civilian community providing them with career coaching throughout the state of Pennsylvania. He also continues to assist Families of the Fallen with outreach services and special events throughout the year.
