Sherry Myers from Mazzitti & Sullivan EAP will speak with us about mental health and the importance of positive mental health in the workplace.

We will:

• Break down the meaning of mental health and discuss the benefits of positive mental health in the workplace

• Look at the disadvantages of poor communication and the importance of creating a safe workplace where employees can communicate without stigma related fears

• Talk about mental health stigmas, their causes, strides we’ve made, and what can be done to block barriers

• Review distress signs to look for in employees and ways to promote positive mental health.

This meeting is pending approval for general recertification credits. We will be gathering at the Conference Center on the Central Penn College campus, located at 600 Valley Road, Summerdale, PA. To enter the building, use the entrance off the back patio for the Conference Center, which is located directly under the bridge. From that entrance, the conference room will be immediately to your right.

Our presenter, Sherry Myers has worked for Mazzitti & Sullivan for the past 7 ½ years. She is a Client Solutions Specialist for the EAP department. Sherry is a Certified Recovery Specialist, trained in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and is a Life Coach. She also has written personal biographies for others and is currently working on 2 new inspirational books. One of her favorite sayings is “Your past does not define your future.”
