As human resources professionals, you’ve likely experienced call after call from supervisors who are reluctant to have performance discussions with their staff. They come to you at their wits end when a work performance situation has become intolerable expecting that you’ll have the difficult conversation for them. Instead, we direct them to have the conversation, never really giving them the tools and strategies to engage in healthy, productive performance discussions. 

In this workshop, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of why supervisors are often reluctant to provide performance feedback. You’ll also learn a very simple, proven model that you can use to help supervisors have the right words and language to engage in productive performance discussions with their staff. 

Yvonne Aguayo specializes in leadership, communications, performance improvement, goal setting, team building, mediation, mentoring, and interpersonal relations. She has successfully implemented and facilitated numerous leadership and employee development workshops in her 16+ years of working in human resources. Yvonne is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) with over 250 coaching hours. She is incredibly passionate about connecting with others on a deep and meaningful level. This drive for connection has helped her to build very positive, trusted working relationships with clients and audiences. In the platform of the classroom or in coaching sessions, Yvonne assists others in looking deeply at what’s holding them back. Yvonne sees herself as a trusted partner, rather than a teacher or mentor.

Yvonne enjoys staying active in her free time whether that is through fitness, theater, improv, walking her dogs, yoga, or meditation. Yvonne loves spending time with her family even if that means being a taxi driver for her 3 teenagers.
