Topic: Generational Retention Planning

Session Overview:

Understanding the diverse needs of our multigenerational workforce is crucial for retention and creating a thriving work environment. Investing in employees from their onset is essential, as hiring costs are significant. A one-size-fits-all benefits package is outdated; instead, a tailored approach that addresses the unique psychological factors of each generation is necessary. To foster longevity, we must bridge the generational gaps and cultivate a supportive atmosphere. Our workshop will feature four breakout rooms, each dedicated to a different generation—baby boomers, Gen X, Y, and Z. We'll explore their birth periods, workplace needs, values, and desires. Afterward, we'll reconvene to share insights on how to effectively engage, retain, and support these diverse groups within our organizations.

Following this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify components of each generation's benefit package.
  • Communicate effectively with each generation of employees.
  • Define the values and needs of each generation in the workplace.
  • Describe what is important to your organization and what investment is required for the future.
