Description: What’s a Coach? A Mentor? A Teacher?

How do I know if I need a mentor? What kind of mentor do I need? How do I find them? The answer to these questions can be found by first synthesizing what you want to achieve. In this presentation, we will demonstrate how the Lean Six Sigma problem-solving methodology can be applied to strategically develop a personal mentoring plan that fosters career growth, enhances professional competencies, and aligns with individual career goals.

PRE-WORK:

During this in-person gathering we will be using Lean Six Sigma Tools like a Two-Word Problem Statement and an A3. These can be used for building a Mentoring program for yourself or for mentoring someone else. During the session, we will fill out an A3, a document we believe can become a proof of concept to create a mentoring program for your organization. But first, we want to start with you.

ACTION: Please come to the session with at least one professional development goal you have for yourself. As you think about your goals, we thought this article might help: https://www.purdueglobal.edu/blog/careers/setting-professional-goals-with-examples/

This session has been approved for 1.5 general SHRM/HRCI certification credit.
