Summary of Presentation:

This session will equip leaders and HR managers with the ability to recognize and break bias in performance rating, promotion, and talent development. Attendees will learn practical policies and fair practices that rationalize performance evaluations, render them transparent, and less subjective. The session also focuses on cultivating a psychological safety culture where everyone is heard, so performance management becomes a force for equity, trust, and organizational excellence.

At the completion of this session, participants will be able to: 

• Identify and dissect the most prevalent types of bias in performance appraisal and their effects on employee development, career advancement, and company loyalty.
• Implement fair policies and procedures that metric-standarize performance, are transparent, and minimize subjectivity in grading and promotion.
• Create structures to facilitate psychological safety so every worker can be heard, feel valued, and be encouraged to contribute.
• Develop a concrete action plan with bias mitigation combined with short-term improvement and long-term cultural transformation.
