About the Speaker:

Mauricio Velasquez is Founder and President of The Diversity Training Group and recently wrote and published a new book entitled: Tackling Toxicity: A Skill-Based Guide to Addressing Toxicity. Mauricio trains Leaders, Managers, Supervisors and Employees to deal with difficult or toxic situations and environments (and the people involved). A Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategist, Trainer, Consultant, Expert Witness, and Executive Coach this book came from all of the difficult situations Mauricio was thrust into over his 30 plus year career. Mauricio also leads workshops on Ethics, Emotional Intelligence, Trust and Employee Engagement, Unconscious or Implicit Bias, Micro-behaviors and more. Mauricio is a long-time SHRM member and earned a BA from the University of Virginia (in Economics & Psychology) and an MBA from The George Washington University (HRM). Mauricio has trained more than 1 million participants in his workshops spanning a 30 year career that has taken him to every state but ND and work/life have taken him to more than 70 countries. Mauricio is a dynamic presenter and master story teller.
