Presenter Kim Nash is the Vice President of Client Compliance and HR Services for Brown & Brown of Pennsylvania, partnering with clients and providing a variety of compliance, management, and human resource related services.  Kim also serves as a part-time instructor for Villanova University teaching the Professional Human Resource Management course.  Kim is a graduate of York College with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Education, and holds an MBA/Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix.

As government regulations aimed toward businesses continue to increase, business leaders must evaluate the risks and costs associated with complying or not complying with the regulations.  HR professionals must be able to identify which government regulations affect their organizations, to what extent, and provide education and recommendations to their business leaders.  Participants will leave the session with a checklist to use to evaluate their current practices and make changes as necessary to be compliant.  Topics that will be covered include:  federal laws, record retention requirements, hiring, compensation, benefit plans, and other human resource requirements.

This program has been approved by SHRM and HRCI for 1.5 General credits.
