Presenter Carrie Traeger currently serves as the Vice President of Information Technology and Human Resources at Property Management, Inc., a premier commercial and residential real estate management firm in Central Pennsylvania. 

Carrie's passion for education and professional development drive many of her interests outside of work.  As a current member of SHRM and HRP of CPA, Carrie works to continue to expand her human resource knowledge and assist other professionals with their continued education.  She is a member of the HRP of CPA Professional Development Committee where she previously served as the Committee Chair and a member of the HRP of CPA Board.  Currently, Carrie serves as a School Board Director for the South Eastern School District in York County.

This presentation examines how an integrated approach to talent management helps drive business results at Yahoo! Inc.  Yahoo has shown its business acumen by becoming a leader in the online-content market.  It has been the focus of numerous articles and reviews because of its dynamic management and its corporate culture, which the company actively promotes to attract the best talent.

The presentation explains what Yahoo! does to become an employer of choice, and what it does to select, orient, develop, reward, and manage top talent.  It shows how senior executives use the concept of managing talent as a central hub in the firm's strategy.
