The session would aim to lay out a list of reasonable activities and partnerships that employers could develop to raise awareness in their workplace; advertise a ‘disability friendly status’ to the community; create opportunities to expose their hiring managers to potential candidates; increase applicants; remove potential barriers to employment; show good faith in meeting compliance expectations; etc.  Attendees will also have an opportunity to meet Vondol Hammond, Eastern Business Services & Outreach Specialist with the PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and learn about the services, resources, programs available through the agency.

About the speaker, Stacy Kyle: For almost 22 years Stacy has worked for AHEDD, a private non-profit that has been meeting the employment needs of people with disabilities and the business community since 1977.  She is currently Project Director for AHEDD.  In 2000 she began coordinating a new business initiative, The PA Business Leadership Network within AHEDD and working more closely to reach out to and educate employers on how to make the first steps and expand initial successes with diverse recruitment
